Make a Felt Bag, Thursday 1 October 2026, 10-4 pm, with lunch

There is something special about a handmade felt bag, and in this workshop you will discover exactly how to create one yourself.
In this workshop, you will learn how to layer soft merino fibres, add texture and detail, and use gentle rubbing and rolling to felt everything together into a strong, beautifully structured piece.
There is no need to worry about colours or design ideas beforehand — we will explore these together on the day. I will work alongside you to help you create a unique, durable bag that is both practical and eye‑catching. 
 
We will be using warm soapy water and there is some physical rolling involved, but we take everything at a relaxed, comfortable pace with breaks and refreshments whenever you need them. A light lunch is also included.
 
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some felting experience. Please bring a large towel to work on and a waterproof bag to take your damp work home.
All materials and refreshments are provided, and you’ll receive 10% off full‑priced items in the shop on the day of your workshop.
 
Cancellation policy: Refunds are available up to one week before the workshop date. After that, you are welcome to move to another session by mutual agreement. If a workshop has insufficient numbers, we may ask participants to move to an alternative date — you will receive at least one week’s notice.
