Make a Nuno Felt Scarf
Wednesday 16 September 2026, 10-4 pm, with lunch
Warwickshire Artisans, Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village, Stratford Road, Wootton Wawen, HENLEY-IN-ARDEN, Warwickshire, B95 6BY
Have you ever admired a beautiful nuno‑felted scarf and wondered how it’s created? In this workshop, you’ll learn how to lay soft merino fibres onto silk and gently work them together through rubbing and rolling so the wool bonds seamlessly with the fabric. There will be plenty of tips along the way, so you will feel confident enough to make more at home if you wish.
There is no need to worry about colours or design choices in advance — we’ll explore these together on the day, and I work alongside you to help you create a unique, durable scarf that you’ll be proud to wear. They make wonderful gifts too.
We will be using warm soapy water and there is some physical rolling involved, but we take everything at a relaxed, comfortable pace with breaks and refreshments whenever you need them. A light lunch is also included.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some felting experience. Please bring a large towel to work on and a waterproof bag to take your damp work home.
All materials and refreshments are provided, and you’ll receive 10% off full‑priced items in the shop on the day of your workshop.
Cancellation policy: Refunds are available up to one week before the workshop date. After that, you are welcome to move to another session by mutual agreement. If a workshop has insufficient numbers, we may ask participants to move to an alternative date — you will receive at least one week’s notice.
