Make a pair of Felted Slippers, Thursday 29 October 2026,

10-4.30 pm, with lunch

Warwickshire Artisans, Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village, Stratford Road, Wootton Wawen, HENLEY-IN-ARDEN, Warwickshire, B95 6BY

Join felt artist Penny to make a fabulous pair of felted slippers that you will be proud to wear on those chilly nights that are coming soon!

You will design and make a unique pair of seamless felt slippers and shape them to fit your own feet.  The slippers will gradually wear and shape even better with use.

You will learn how to lay strong wool over a flat resist, work it with soap and water and then learn how to mould into a slipper shape.

Part of the session in the afternoon will involve rubbing and rolling to shrink your slipper into its final shape. You will receive help with this if you are struggling physically.

There is an additional charge for a suede sole that you will take away and sew on at home when your slippers are dry.

These are highly recommended for safety and cost around £10-£12 extra. Your shoe size will be requested 2 weeks before the workshop if you would like a pair - or you order them yourself.

We will be using warm soapy water and there is some physical rolling involved, but we take everything at a relaxed, comfortable pace with breaks and refreshments whenever you need them. A light lunch is also included.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some felting experience. Please bring a large towel to work on and a waterproof bag to take your damp work home.

All materials and refreshments are provided, and you’ll receive 10% off full‑priced items in the shop on the day of your workshop.

Cancellation policy: Refunds are available up to one week before the workshop date. After that, you are welcome to move to another session by mutual agreement. If a workshop has insufficient numbers, we may ask participants to move to an alternative date — you will receive at least one week’s notice.
