Make a Wet Felted Picture, Taster Workshop

Join us at the new Solihull Studio Gallery for this relaxed taster session. You will explore the calming, hands‑on process of wet felting to create a small felted picture. Using soft fibres, warm, soapy water and simple techniques. You will build up gentle layers of colour and texture to form a landscape, abstract design or nature‑inspired motif.
 
This workshop is perfect if you are curious about felting and would like to try it without pressure. You will learn how wool behaves, how colours blend, and how to shape your design as it develops. No experience is needed — just a willingness to play, experiment and enjoy the making process.
You will leave with a small felted artwork that captures your own creative moment, along with the confidence to explore felting further.

The process involves some gentle rolling, but we keep a relaxed pace with breaks whenever you need them.
 
Suitable for beginners and those who have felted before. Please bring a large towel to work on and a waterproof bag to take damp work home in.
 
 
Cancellation policy - Refunds are only available up to 1 week before the course date.  Less than 1 week, customers are moved to another session with mutual agreement.
In the event of there being not enough people at a workshop we reserve the right to request customers move to another mutually convenient date.  A week's notice will be given for this.
